Delivering information to people that need it in a language they understand.
The Refugee Response works with hundreds of individuals from every corner of the world that are adapting to life in Northeast Ohio. Communicating every message that would benefit our community of refugees, from information about the 2020 Census to navigating your first Cleveland winter, can be a tricky task.
Existing language barriers are made more difficult by access to translated materials from legitimate sources, the literacy rates of resettled populations and the mediums in which we communicate. The solution is creating content that is both accessible and understandable for every population we serve.
Born out of a series of avoidable and tragic events in the resettled populations of Northern Ohio, The Refugee Response's Multilingual Content Creation Program is built around content that is responsive to and predictive of community needs. Through partnerships both in our local community and beyond, The Refugee Response has used our position as a hub for information to create a content program that helps addresses actual needs.
Our content is only as good as our partners.
Partners help us identify areas of need, produce content, translate audio, distribute content, and more.
What would our partnership look like?
