Loung Ung -

Keynote Speaker 2019- REAP the Benefit

Loung was five years old when the Khmer Rouge soldiers took power in Cambodia.  Under their four-year rule, 1.7 to 2 millions perished; among the victims were Loung’s parents, two sisters, and twenty relatives.  In 1980, Loung, her brother Meng and his wife, relocated to America as refugees.  She now calls Cleveland home, and is an author, activist, and a founding partner of Market Garden Brewery in Ohio City.
