Lila is an educator, master list maker, and lover of all things planning. At the Refugee Response, she supports the implementation and growth of the Teen Response after school program. Lila provides one-to-one guidance and support for 11th and 12th grade teens and their families to prepare for high school graduation and post high school educational attainment.
Lila is originally from Cleveland, OH. She began teaching high school students abroad in the Palestinian Territories after graduating from university. Lila then worked with AMIDEAST, an American NGO whose mission is to build bridges between the U.S. and North Africa and the Middle East, administering their training program, and later continuing to teach for their ACCESS program. She has also taught English Literature and Theory of Knowledge at an International Baccalaureate school in the West Bank. Lila has extensive experience teaching Palestinian refugee students and assisting them in gaining entry to universities.
