Sydney Kornegay

Director of Adult Programming

Originally from South Carolina, Sydney has spent over 10 years working on community-driven development projects, both at home and abroad. In Rwanda, she helped spearhead a microgranting program for rural communities. During her time in New York City, she co-founded and managed RDJ Refugee Shelter - New York City's only homeless shelter specifically for asylum seekers. She is passionate about partnering with refugee friends and neighbors to create more just and equitable communities. Sydney has her B.A. in Political Science from Davidson College, and a Masters in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University.
